A game thrives on ideas and we appreciate all of the ideas you as players put forth. This will be where you submit ideas for both player plots and game wide plots.

Hardison's basic ideas

Just thought I'd get where Hardison would possibly start after he arrives at the circus; these are mostly plot hooks and all in character.

Enabling: Knife Throwing Knife throwing at an assistant is a traditional stage magic act so if there isn't an actual knife thrower he could step in (this isn't so much for him as to enable someone who wants to be an assistant). Hardison's not actually going to be throwing knives at anyone (he really doesn't have the skill), but absolutely would strap a mostly willing victim volunteer to a rigged spinning board and not tell her that he wasn't throwing the knives but pocketing them and the knives were being triggered (by the magician's assistant) to spring out of the board.

Personal: Dynamo Making a dynamo attached to his cart wheel so he could at least get a tiny bit of charge onto his phone or recharge his earbuds/button cam would be something he's the skills to do. How useful enough it would be I don't know, but it would be an actual piece of home in the way his phone with a flat battery isn't.

Camp: Brewing/Distilling Prohibition was ended in 1933; alcohol and its relationship to the 1930s was a fairly big thing. Hardison in season 5 was the brewmaster of a microbrewery as his main cover; he knows how to brew alcohol which makes for good networking and plotting. (And what is the legality of alcohol?)

Expanding the act 1: Extra assistants There are a lot of magic tricks (starting with sawing a woman in half) that require two assistants pretending to be one, or an offstage assistant actually doing things that the audience aren't supposed to see. The offstage assistant could easily be anyone - but based on the initial meme he was going to try and recruit Annie January and Amy Peterson on the grounds they are about the same height (1" different), build, and have similar hair meaning they could double for each other at a distance if they weren't visible on the same stage at the same time.

Expanding the act 2: A better location A fortune-teller's tent is best when it's small and intimate - and this works well if the magician is an actual magician, able to wow the audience and the more interaction the more convincing (which I therefore assume Hardison's predecessor if he is the magician was). For a stage magician, and in particular with Hardison's style you want a much bigger venue (at least as bigger as the knife throwers get) with a bigger audience and enough distance that the audience can't see all round. So he's going to be trying to move to a bigger tent.

These are all good ideas. The brewery would make sense back then. Cheap alcohol during the depression so everyone forgets their woes during late night shows. I wouldn't suggest this during daytime hours because of the law and children.

Um adding more work to the jobs, not to mention you need more people doing food vending, slots where there's only one. Depending on how many days a week you do it, the carnival that is. Carnies need breaks some nights. There should be stand ins and back ups but they still get paid for like training newcomers or do a secondary job.

I'd suggest a bar tent by the way. Chairs are stackable and folding tables can be used for a bar counter. Anyway I'm done for now. I'm just excited. Heh
